Job summary

Etched is seeking mechanical/thermal engineering interns to join the Platform Team, working on NPI prototyping, fixture development, and liquid cooling for high power ASIC systems. Internships span Summer ’26, Fall ’26, Spring ’27, and Summer ’27, with mentors from industry leaders.

Based in San Jose, CA, the program provides 12 weeks of paid work, housing support for relocating interns, and daily meals in the office, fostering hands-on experience across hardware and software interfaces.

Qualifications

• Progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience building real mechanical systems, boards, or other hands-on projects.
• Knowledge of board design cycle, high-speed interconnects, power delivery, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in NPI prototyping, fixture development, and liquid cooling technologies.
• Contribute to rack-level system development across mechanical and electrical engineering domains.
