Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) invites applications for a Part-Time Mechanical Technology Instructor in HVAC and Plumbing at the Arnold/Main Campus. The instructor will deliver classroom and lab instruction, follow the curriculum outline, and assess student learning in a hands-on trades program.
Candidates should have journeyman/master level knowledge in HVAC and Plumbing, safety awareness, NEC code familiarity, and at least five years of related experience.

Work Mode: This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.

Position Type: Part-Time Faculty, Exempt
Part time faculty position located in the Clauson Center for Innovation and Skilled Trades on the Arnold campus. Instructor is responsible for classroom and lab instruction in HVAC and Plumbing trades. The instructor is expected to follow the provided curriculum outline and learning expectations in regular increments and timeline. Content for course is both lab based and theoretical. Instructional guidelines, learning materials, and content are hosted in online learning platforms. Training and support for new instructors is provided before and during instructional terms. Instructors must have expertise in the trade and the ability to effectively manage a group training/learning environment. Some basic computer experience (email, web browsing, basic communication and organization) is also required. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. A desire to share your knowledge of the industry with future skilled trades workers is a must! Instructors will be required to adhere to Anne Arundel Community College's Part Time Faculty Instructional policies and procedures.
