Job summary

FST Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join our Santa Clara, CA team on the night shift (12 hours, compressed work week).

This role focuses on maintaining building and facility systems and supporting project needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The position requires hands‑on experience with boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, plumbing and related equipment, with the ability to lift 30 lbs three times a day.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility mechanical systems operations and maintenance (boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, building exhaust, water movement, etc.).
• Lift 30 lbs 3 times a day on average.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.
• Conduct daily rounds and readings.
• Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, heating and cooling systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties.

Role

Mechanical Technician

Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shift, compressed work week schedule

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.
• Conduct daily rounds and readings.
• Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, heating and cooling systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties.
• Assignments are semi-routine in nature with work performed within generally defined parameters.
• Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems.

Experience / Requirements

• Experience in facility mechanical systems operations and maintenance (boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, building exhaust, water movement, etc.).
• Lift 30 lbs 3 times a day on average.
• Preferred experience in Semiconductor or Pharmaceutical industries.
