Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Mechanical Technician/Machinist to operate and set up manual heavy machinery, inspect parts for quality, and maintain tools and equipment. You will work with Edge Finders and various manual machines to ensure parts meet production standards.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical training through a program (vocational school, technical college, or apprenticeship).
• Typically 4–5 years of combined education and on-the-job training to become fully trained.
• Must show aptitude for math, problem-solving and computer skills.
• Good math skills help understand schematics and ensure correct design and build.

Responsibilities

• Figure machine setup positions using Edge Finders and mathematical equations; sets tooling and loads in machines.
• Completes inspection data sheet.
• Deburrs parts using deburring tools and equipment.
• Use manual equipment including drill press, milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders.
