Essity is a global leader in health and hygiene with a strong presence in the Dover, DE region. We seek a Mechanical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair on-site equipment, ensuring a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.

The role requires a hands-on approach, with a 7PM-7AM schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems, read blueprints, and document work thoroughly while following safety standards and shifting to preventive

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment on-site.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical manuals.
• Document maintenance work with detailed reports.
• Set up and calibrate new equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
• Implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
• Use specialized tools for mechanical system adjustments.

About the Role

In this role, the Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the efficient and accurate maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment on-site, while ensuring a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate should reside in the Dover, DE area or be comfortable commuting to the location.

Schedule: 7PM-7Am this is a 2, 2, 3 schedule

What You Will Do

Works within Essity safety standards, with responsibility for personal and others' safety

Conducts regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation

Troubleshoots mechanical issues and diagnose problems in machinery and related systems.

Repairs or replaces worn or malfunctioning parts and equipment.

Reads and interprets engineering blueprints and technical manuals.

Documents maintenance and repair work, creating detailed reports

Sets up and calibrates new equipment following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

Implements preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan

Uses specialized tools for mechanical system adjustments

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

High school diploma or equivalent, and mechanical education

Hands‑on experience through internships or previous roles in mechanical settings

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay begins at $27.61 per hour + shift differential + full benefits, with the opportunity for higher pay based on experience and qualifications
