Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Tech, you will perform mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to ensure the continuous and reliable operation of our RAS facility's equipment and systems. Your expertise will help maintain optimal water quality, fish health, and overall facility performance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on RAS equipment such as pumps, filters, heat exchangers, and mechanical components to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform repairs and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions in RAS equipment, including mechanical systems and components.
- Assist in installing, calibrating, and replacing mechanical equipment and components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repairs.
- Monitor and adjust water quality parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen levels, and ammonia concentrations to ensure optimal conditions for salmon growth and health.
- Conduct routine sampling and testing of water quality parameters to assess system efficiency and make necessary adjustments.
- Respond promptly to facility emergencies and mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime and prevent adverse impacts on fish health and facility operations.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and best practices to improve facility efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with team members and fish farmers to optimize facility performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement process improvements.
- Stay updated on advancements in RAS technology, fish farming practices, and industry regulations to recommend and implement innovative solutions and ensure compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience, including pump repairs, refurbishment, rebuilds, pipe fitting, scaffolding, plumbing, and pneumatic valve repair.
- HVAC experience (desired).
- Wastewater treatment experience (desired).
- Metal and plastic welding experience (a plus).
- Willingness to collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work in complex, multi-tasking environments.
- Strong desire to learn and grow.
Work Environment:
This role operates in a farm/production environment.
Schedule:
- Day shift: 7 am to 4:30 pm, rotating days, same shift.
- Afternoon shift: 4 pm to 12:30 am, rotating days, same shift.
- Overtime as needed.
- Weekends and after hours as needed.

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
