Job summary

LubeZone in Brookshire, TX is seeking a Mechanical Technician to own the bay and perform same-day repairs in our shop and at customer sites with a company service truck. You will be paid hourly for book time and eligible for incentives based on labor hours billed.

Requires 2+ years of diesel/heavy-duty experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of air brakes, A/C, electrical, and DOT inspections. The role includes strong earning potential with uncapped incentives and comprehensive

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a mechanical technician (diesel, heavy-duty, or automotive).
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive service truck to customer sites.
• Knowledge of air brakes, wheel seals and bearings, and torque procedures.
• FMCSA standards and OSHA safety knowledge.
• Texas Commercial Inspector Certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform same-day repairs in the shop and on customer sites.
• Service truck brakes, wheel seals and bearings, air leaks and A/C and electrical work.
• Handle tires, PM services, and DOT/trailer inspections; no engine teardowns.
• Communicate clearly with customers and management; lift up to 50 lbs.

Brookshire | $18 to $22/hr + Uncapped Mechanical Incentive | Full-Time or Part-Time | No Overnights | Driver's License Required

Tired of waiting on parts, chasing comebacks, and watching the clock? At LubeZone, we fix it, finish it, and send it back down the highway the same day. Our Brookshire shop needs a Mechanical Technician who can own the bay, hit the road, and get paid for every hour of book time they crush.

Get Paid For What You Fix

• $20.00/hr starting pay, guaranteed no matter how busy the shop gets
• Earn 10% to 16% of every labor hour you bill, and each new tier pays back to hour one
• Paid on book time. Beat the clock and keep the credit
• Top techs earn an extra $20 for every hour they bill

The Work

Same-day repairs on the lighter side of heavy-duty, in the shop and on site in our company service truck brakes, wheel seals and bearings, air leaks and airbags, A/C and electrical, tires, forced regens, and DOT and trailer inspections. No engine teardowns. No bodywork.

Coming from automotive with some diesel experience?

We'll train you at our Sweetwater shop.

What You Need

• A valid driver's license. You'll be driving our service truck to customer sites, so this one is a must
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a mechanical technician (diesel, heavy-duty, or automotive)
• At least some hands-on diesel or semi-truck experience
• Working knowledge of air brakes, wheel seals and bearings, and proper torque procedures
• Working knowledge of A/C systems, electrical, tires, PM services, and diagnostic equipment
• Able to perform inspections to FMCSA standards
• Texas Commercial Inspector Certification, or the ability to get it
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Basic computer skills for work orders
• A self-starter who communicates clearly with customers and management
• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance and stand, bend, or kneel for long periods
• Able to work various shift schedules

• Semi-truck and trailer repair experience
• ASE certification
• Experience with forced regens, heavy-duty disc brakes, and airbag suspension
• Mobile or on-site fleet repair experience
• Experience completing DOT inspection paperwork
