Job summary

Technical Sales Engineer – Mechanical Manufacturing in Telford, PA is aimed at engineers who blend mechanical expertise with customer-facing sales responsibilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in applications engineering, mechanical engineering, technical sales, manufacturing, or similar.
• Experience with manufactured mechanical products or engineered components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting quotations, RFQs, or product configurations.
• Strong customer-facing communication and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, manufacturing).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an engineering and technical resource for the Sales team during customer engagements via phone, email, web meetings, and in-person discussions.
• Understand customer applications and provide appropriate technical product recommendations.
• Collaborate with customer engineering/design teams to identify requirements and constraints.
• Review drawings/specifications to support product selection, design and quoting.
• Coordinate with internal engineering and production teams to align requirements with capabilities.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and product configurations based on customer specs.
• Participate in meetings, calls, trade shows, and site visits to support technical discussions.
• Partner with sales, customer service, engineering, and operations to address customer needs.
• Follow up on quotations and proposals to support sales growth.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through timely communication and technical support.
• Develop understanding of products, capabilities, applications, and industry use cases.
• Support order entry and coordinate with operations for timely delivery.
• Assist with sales/marketing initiatives including outbound follow-ups and lead nurturing.
• Maintain records of customer interactions in the CRM.
