Job summary

Summit Wash Holdings is seeking a Mechanical Technician in the Orlando, FL area to maintain car wash facilities and equipment, ensuring smooth, safe operations and a clean, dry customer experience.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, perform preventive maintenance, and follow diagrams and manuals to minimize downtime. The role requires early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade license preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work on-call shifts and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain car wash facilities and equipment to keep them in pristine working order.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Follow diagrams, manuals and manufacturer instructions to diagnose and fix malfunctions.
• Observe equipment in operation to locate sources of problems and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with procedures and regulations.

They provide much of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making sure our customers experience a clean, dry and spotless car. This position is for someone who likes to solve problems and keep everything operating efficiently and smoothly.

Responsibilities

• 5 - 10 years of plumbing, electrical and commercial building maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of single phase and three phase high voltage
• Completes preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems
• Follow diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions to troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices - using hoists and hand and power tools
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools.
• Controls downtime by informing workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

General Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED – Trade License Preferred
• Valid Drivers License
• Willing to work early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Intermediate Computer Skills
• Self-motivated
• Mechanical aptitude or knowledge a must
• On-call Shifts as needed
• Electrical and plumbing aptitude
• Must have your own means of transportation

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift at least 50lbs.
• Ability to be on your feet for at least 10 hours at a time.
• Mobility to work in areas that require kneeling, leaning, crouching, or crawling.
• Capable of working in both extreme weather elements – hot and cold

$25 - $30 an hour
