JT4 in Las Vegas seeks a Mechanical Tech II to analyze malfunctions, repair, rebuild and maintain ground support equipment, parts, accessories and systems. You will diagnose defects using electronic, digital and hand tools and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on heavy equipment.
Requirements: two‑year technical mechanical degree or 4+ years of related experience; operate heavy equipment; valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a government security clearance; CDL a plus.
The Mechanical Tech II analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds, and maintains ground support equipment, parts, accessories, and systems.
Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:
The incumbent must be a graduate from an accredited two‑year technical mechanical institution or equivalent, or at least four (4) years of job‑related experience.
In addition, a Mechanical Tech II must also possess the following qualifications:

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting to 50 pounds and outdoor duties with exposure to natural weather. A government vehicle is used on an as‑needed basis. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. The incumbent must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. He/she must be able to work duty days in excess of eight hours and perform shift and weekend work to meet required schedule demands. This position may require travel.
