Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an engineer to support the production and upgrades of the New Glenn launch vehicle. You will lead design, development, and testing of structural, mechanical, and fluid systems, with emphasis on production support and ensuring design conformance.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, strong 3D modeling skills, GD&T, and experience with aerospace hardware. U.S. citizen or national status is required for sensitive work.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or higher.
  • Experience managing aerospace or equivalent mechanical systems elements within aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
  • Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D modeling tools.
  • Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes, and quality control relative to tubes/piping and machined components.

Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.This role supports the production and upgrades of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of carrying payloads to Earth’s orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space.As part of a small, hard-working, and accomplished team of experts you will lead the design, development, and test various spaceflight systems. You will share toward the team’s impact on all aspects of structures, mechanical, and fluid systems.
