Job summary

ComTec Information Systems (IT) is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to create technical specifications and define requirements per Client Energy design standards, and to support the organization with issue resolution in manufacturing and field operations.

You will coordinate with Lead Engineer, procurement, suppliers, and project management to ensure supplier solutions meet requirements, perform site support during installation and commissioning, and contribute to bid management.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of technical specifications, verification of supplier bids with clarifications, technical supplier negotiations including risk assessment and commercial selection support for Air Intake system, Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers, Noise Enclosures, and Fire Protection system.
• Reviewing internal and external designs and documentation.
• Support procurement department regarding technical issues.
• Coordination with Lead Engineer, Customer, Procurement, Suppliers, other Engineering departments, and Project Management.
• Ensuring alignment of the supplier’s solution with requirements specification, customer needs, and interface partners.
• Attend manufacturing shop inspections, perform field/site support during installation, commissioning and warranty.
• Proposal support for Bid Management team.
