Job summary

A mechanical design firm in Atlanta is looking for a Mechanical Systems Designer to collaborate with engineers in creating precise CAD models and shop drawings for HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems. Responsibilities include utilizing project criteria to produce accurate designs, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring compliance with mechanical standards. A two-year degree in CAD and experience with Revit are essential. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting or similar required.
• 3+ years in mechanical/plumbing trade or design experience using Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Create HVAC and plumbing CAD models, applying project criteria and standards.
• Coordinate designs with other building trades to avoid conflicts.
• Model systems based on sketches, descriptions, and existing drawings.
• Communicate regularly with project managers and field personnel.
