Bechtel Corporation is seeking a supervisory role focused on leading teams for construction projects in the United States. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience, supervising craft activities, scheduling work, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
This position requires strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. The candidate will oversee project operations and collaborate with team members in various work locations across the USA.
The selected candidate will initially be placed on one of our four Liquefied Natural Gas Plant Projects in the US Gulf Coast Region for our Energy Global Business Unit, but may also require future mobility to our other Global Business Units in a different location. The ideal candidate will have market sector/sub sector construction industry experience in energy (liquefied natural gas), manufacturing and technology, infrastructure, mining and minerals, & nuclear, security, and environmental.
In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, coordinate subcontract work activities and promote team development. Your oversight ensures craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and work rules, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.
Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including, but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site in high heat and high humidity, climbing ladders and scaffolding, working on elevated platforms and uneven surfaces, working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must be able to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must use appropriate standard issued PPE (e.g., harness, life vest, lift buckets).
