Project Overview

The selected candidate will initially be placed on one of our four Liquefied Natural Gas Plant Projects in the US Gulf Coast Region for our Energy Global Business Unit, but may also require future mobility to our other Global Business Units in a different location. The ideal candidate will have market sector/sub sector construction industry experience in energy (liquefied natural gas), manufacturing and technology, infrastructure, mining and minerals, & nuclear, security, and environmental.

Job Summary

In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, coordinate subcontract work activities and promote team development. Your oversight ensures craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and work rules, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.

Major Responsibilities
  • Supervise and/or direct craft activities as assigned.
  • Schedule work and review work accomplished by each craft.
  • Determine workforce requirements.
  • Coordinate established area operational plans.
  • Monitor tool and equipment usage on site.
  • Oversee preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables.
  • Ensure design documents are up‑to‑date and changes approved before implementation.
  • Ensure construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are compliant with specifications, schedules and budgets.
  • Work with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals to interpret engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
  • Oversee engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen, and craft professionals.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Requires Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8‑10 years of relevant experience, or 12‑14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience in a supervisory position on a construction site.
  • Ability to motivate team members effectively and positively in a collaborative environment.
  • Problem‑solving ability in high‑pressure situations.
  • Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience in a supervisory role commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving ability.
Physical and Safety Requirements

Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including, but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site in high heat and high humidity, climbing ladders and scaffolding, working on elevated platforms and uneven surfaces, working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must be able to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must use appropriate standard issued PPE (e.g., harness, life vest, lift buckets).
