Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Nashville seeks a Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer to lead HVAC design for high‑performance facilities.

You will oversee the complete design process, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure client satisfaction on research, healthcare and higher education projects. PE preferred; strong communication and organization are essential.

• BSME/BSAE (or equivalent) with professional registration preferred.
• 15+ years in HVAC building systems design for research, healthcare or HE facilities.
• PE license required or in process.

In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with clients and project partners and is responsible for the overall design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline. Within your role, you will also develop innovative and unique design solutions to align with project, client and project partner needs and leads the team in implementing solutions.

Expertise of our most successful Mechanical Senior Project Engineer:

• BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
• 15+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration required.
• Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
