This is a remote role based out of IL, MN, NC, or NH.
The Mechanical Sales Engineer effectively evaluates product specifications for moderately complex customer projects that could include CNC Machining, 3D Printing, or Sheet Metal projects, and provides technical expertise in support of selling and retaining Protolabs' Network services. This position is responsible for thorough review and evaluation of customers' technical drawings, 3D CAD data and RFQ's as required. Provide general review for project Statements of Work and quality requirements, while collaborating with downstream partners for selective coordination with Network manufacturing partners to fulfill product requirements and manage risk. Additionally, the Mechanical Sales Engineer provides direct technical expertise to Sales and external customers and serves as a technical consultant during customer interactions as required.
