Job summary

First Point Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Revit Designer (HVAC BIM) to lead highly detailed 3D HVAC BIM modeling for semiconductor, life sciences, data center, and industrial facilities. This role requires advanced Revit MEP skills and experience delivering LOD 300 and LOD 400 models.

You will coordinate with MEP, Structural, and Architectural disciplines, perform clash detection, and support design development with QA/QC. Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite in Houston or Phoenix.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Mechanical HVAC design and BIM modeling experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Experience creating models through LOD 300 and LOD 400.
• Strong HVAC ductwork design and detailing experience.
• Navisworks clash detection experience.
• Background on semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data center, or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly detailed 3D HVAC BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP for large-scale facilities.
• Create ductwork models from concept through LOD 300 (FEED) and LOD 400 (fabrication).
• Produce coordinated construction drawings including plans and sections.
• Coordinate with MEP, Structural, and Architectural disciplines to ensure clash-free models.
• Perform model coordination and clash detection to resolve conflicts before construction.
• Interpret engineering calculations and translate design intent into HVAC layouts.
• Support design development with markups, revisions, QA/QC, and BIM standards.
• Maintain Revit families, templates, BIM standards, and model quality across projects.

Senior Mechanical Revit Designer (HVAC BIM)

Semiconductor, Data Center & Life Sciences Projects

Location: Houston, TX or Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)

• Develop highly detailed 3D HVAC BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP for large-scale semiconductor, life sciences, data center, and industrial facilities.
• Create complete HVAC ductwork models from concept through LOD 300 (FEED) and LOD 400 (Issued for Fabrication), including duct supports, dampers, instrumentation, fire protection interfaces, and commissioning requirements.
• Produce coordinated construction drawings including plans, sections, details, and fabrication-ready documentation.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Structural, and Architectural disciplines to deliver clash-free BIM models.
• Perform model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks, resolving conflicts before construction.
• Interpret engineering calculations and translate design intent into accurate, constructible HVAC layouts.
• Support project teams throughout design development, incorporating engineering markups, revisions, QA/QC reviews, and BIM standards.
• Apply industry standards including ASHRAE, SMACNA, and BIM best practices across all project phases.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of complex EPC projects by maintaining Revit families, templates, BIM standards, and multidisciplinary model quality.
