Job summary

S&C Electric Company seeks a Mechanical Quality Technologist to inspect and test mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing setting. You will ensure components meet specifications and document results, supporting process improvements and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems; able to troubleshoot.
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings, BOMs, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Proficient with hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Good computer skills; familiarity with ERP/Microsoft tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical subassemblies and final assemblies to ensure product quality.
• Verify assemblies meet tolerances and are assembled correctly.
• Interpret drawings, BOMs, and technical docs for compliance.
• Record inspection results and initiate corrective actions for non-conforming products.
• Maintain & calibrate mechanical testing equipment; ensure proper operation.
• Collaborate with production to address quality issues and drive improvements.
• Follow ISO 9001 procedures and document inspections accurately.
• Maintain safe work area per guidelines and participate in safety processes.
• Pursue relevant certifications to advance testing skills.
• Support continuous improvement in testing procedures and protocols.
