Strata-G Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our team.

Job Description

• Perform a variety of physical and visual inspections of products and services to determine conformity and quality to requirements using specialized inspection tools and equipment.
• Document inspection and test results, providing the status of in-process inspections and testing.
• Record deficiencies and ensure compliance with work travelers during receipt, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Provide surveillance and ensure compliance with established QMS procedures, recommending improvements where needed.
• Perform receiving inspections, tests, and examinations of products and services received from subcontractors to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements, proper documentation, and correct identification of products.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to resolve quality-related issues.
• Complete company and customer paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Stand, walk, climb, and sit; operate inspection instruments, tools, and computers; and lift heavy loads following safety guidelines.
• Assist co-workers in other areas as needed.

Minimum Skills and Competencies

• Ability to read and interpret technical data, drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, radius gauges, and height gauges.
• Experience with CMM using PC-DMIS software.

Minimum Education and Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in quality product inspection; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with optical comparators and Faro Arms is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; degree in science, math, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Experience with GD&T interpretation and application.

Clearance

• Must be eligible for and able to maintain a Secret Clearance.
