Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) seeks a Quality Control Inspector (Mechanical) to conduct independent inspections of HVAC, piping, pumps, and related mechanical work to ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.

The role requires interpreting drawings and codes, evaluating installations, and preparing comprehensive reports for the QA Manager. Travel up to 25% and normal site inspections are expected as part of mission-driven work.

Qualifications

• Three years of quality control experience with mechanical systems preferred.
• Knowledge of ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 sampling standards.
• Proficiency with CMMS such as Maximo and basic IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform systematic audits of mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation activities to assess compliance with contract requirements and standards.
• Conduct inspections of HVAC, plumbing, piping, pumps, boilers, and related mechanical systems.
• Interpret codes, drawings, and specs to determine compliance and identify deficiencies.
• Evaluate activities for adherence to manufacturer specs and regulatory standards.
• Provide independent judgments on acceptability and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze inspection data to identify trends, risks, and systemic issues.
• Prepare reports on deficiencies, status, and recommendations for the QA Manager.
• Support development and improvement of QA/QC procedures and checklists.
• Use Maximo to document inspections and track corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to technicians and project teams on specs and quality expectations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve complex deficiencies and ensure timely action.
• Review documents to ensure work meets standards and contractual obligations.
• Verify completion and documentation are accurate and compliant with requirements.
