Job summary

MKL Careers partners with a leading mechanical contracting firm in the DFW area to hire a Mechanical Project Manager. You will lead projects from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

The role requires 5+ years PM experience in HVAC/plumbing/piping, strong knowledge of drawings and specs, and proficiency with Procore or Viewpoint. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical contracting (HVAC, plumbing, piping or related).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent communication with field teams and executives.
• Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Viewpoint or similar).

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate with field superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects on track.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost reports.
• Lead submittal and RFI processes and manage owner/GC relationships.
• Participate in buyout, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts on new bids as needed.
