Job summary

BEUMER Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in New Jersey to support, enhance, and sustain installed material handling systems. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, system upgrades, and lifecycle improvement across customer sites.

Strong mechanical design and a service-oriented mindset are required to collaborate with Customer Support, Field Service, and Project Management. The ideal candidate will apply 2D/3D CAD skills, assess configurations, and lead retrofit projects while

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in material handling, automated systems, or service environments.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering input for system upgrades, retrofits, and modernization proposals.
Assist service and project managers with field support, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Develop engineering solutions for modifications and improvements.
Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, project management, and field service teams.
Prepare engineering specifications, as-built updates, and service documentation.
Support project schedules for retrofit and upgrade activities.
