Job summary

Murray Company is offering a summer internship in our Operations group in Chandler, AZ. You will work with project managers across pre-construction, fabrication and field installation to gain hands-on project management experience on mechanical projects.

This paid internship is 10–12 weeks at 40 hours per week, starting May 2027, with hours Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, and travel to nearby project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to take initiative and work well in a team environment.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship (≈10 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical projects.
• Review designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.
• Participate in site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates and budgets.
• Assist with quality control measures.
• Facilitate communication among project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Assist with safety protocol implementation and compliance.
