Job summary

360 Engineering, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer II to advance HVAC and plumbing design on commercial projects in Colorado. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, perform load calculations, and contribute energy analyses to deliver optimal solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of HVAC experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and HAP. PE is a plus and historical restoration work is a plus. On-site or hybrid options available.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of HVAC/plumbing experience; PE bonus.
  • Experience with HVAC in new construction, reengineering, retrofit projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and load software (HAP).
  • Ability to hold team members accountable and share knowledge.
  • Self-directed, agile, and able to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication and time management; deadline-driven.
  • Interest in historical restoration projects.

How you’ll spend your days:
  • Working side by side with your client stakeholders and internal project teams to deliver the best designs for each project
  • Balancing multiple project requirements without breaking a sweat
  • Coordinating with all project stakeholders - architects, engineers, and clients - consistently and skillfully
  • Providing load calculations and energy analysis on projects
  • Issuing change requests when required
  • Submitting weekly project reports, attending the weekly internal status meetings, and providing accurate progress billing information to accounting
  • Issuing change requests when required
  • Navigating changes, risks, and other construction messiness to the satisfaction of the contractor/owner and our company
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of professional experience as an HVAC/plumbing mechanical engineer– bonus points if you have your PE
  • Demonstrated experience with HVAC in new construction, reengineering, and retrofit projects – and the portfolio to prove it
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, and load software – we use Carrier Hourly Analysis Program (HAP)
  • Ability to hold team members accountable for their tasks and inspire their best efforts – you enjoy transferring your knowledge
  • Naturally self-directed, resourceful, with an agile mind – you can adapt and convey shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to set and make deadlines
  • Outcome-focused, results-oriented, and an unshakably positive attitude
  • A special interest in historical restoration projects – because we do a lot of them
