Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Boston is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead energy and utilities projects. You will design central utility plants and manage project teams to deliver sustainable, energy-efficient building solutions.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in consulting engineering, PE preferred, and proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks. Strong communication and organization skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • BSME (or similar engineering degree) with applicable experience.
  • 15+ years in consulting engineering, preferably utility plant design or test cell design.
  • Professional engineering registration preferred.
  • Proficiency with engineering design software: Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall project engineering for Energy & Utilities on large-scale sites.
  • Design central utility plants (steam, hot water, chilled water) for campuses/healthcare facilities.
  • Develop and present engineering solutions; guide the team in implementing the solution.

Mechanical Project Engineer – Energy & Utilities

In the Boston office, you will help our clients achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will be involved with the design of central utility plants (steam, hot water, chilled water) for projects such as large campuses and healthcare facilities. You will provide overall project engineering leadership on Energy and Utilities projects, develop and present engineering solutions to meet client requirements and lead the team in implementing the solution.

Expertise of our most successful Mechanical Project Engineer
  • BSME (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
  • 15+ years of experience in the consulting engineering industry – preferably experience in utility plant design and/or test cell design.
  • Professional engineering registration preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
