Job summary

Mitsubishi Films America (MFA) in Greer, SC is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join the Project Engineering group and drive assigned projects from feasibility through startup. You will develop engineering packages, track costs, prepare schedules, and coordinate actions with internal clients and contractors.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with about 5 years of engineering and project management experience; extrusion/film-line experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of engineering and project management experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Strong analytical problem solving skills.
• Experience with extrusion and/or film lines is strongly desirable but not required.
• Organization and ability to develop work scopes.
• Computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.
• SAP is a plus but not required.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering project packages including tracking costs, resources, and deadlines.
• Develop preliminary engineering details on feasibility, cost estimate, and schedules.
• Develop equipment specifications and analyze bids with recommendations.
• Enter requisitions into SAP and supervise construction activities.
• Observe, inspect and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Support project startup and update drawing packages in the document management system.
• Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate contractor activities.
• Report project status to internal clients.

The successful candidate will work as a member of the Project Engineering group and ensure assigned project goals and objectives are achieved.
