Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design, layout, and analyze piping systems across projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations while optimizing cost and efficiency.

This role requires CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and piping stress tools (CAESAR II, ANSYS), collaboration with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers, and active participation in planning, cost estimation, and risk

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Experience in piping design and engineering in oil & gas, petrochemicals, or power generation preferred.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and pipe stress analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, API).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed piping designs, specifications, and layouts using CAD and analysis tools.
  • Perform stress analysis and flexibility evaluations to ensure system integrity.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers to integrate piping with projects.
  • Review vendor drawings and documentation for project compliance.
  • Provide construction phase support and address design issues.
  • Participate in planning, cost estimation, and risk assessment to meet milestones.

Job Summary

Loenbro is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, layout, and analysis of piping systems in various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations while optimizing cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed piping designs, specifications, and layouts using advanced engineering software and tools.
  • Conduct stress analysis and flexibility evaluations to ensure the integrity of piping systems under various conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers, to integrate piping designs with other project components.
  • Review and approve vendor drawings and documentation to ensure adherence to project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during the construction phase, addressing any design‑related issues that arise.
  • Participate in project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessment activities to achieve project milestones on time and within budget.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in piping design and engineering in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, or power generation preferred, not required.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) and pipe stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II, ANSYS).
