Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Product Development Engineer to join our team in Moberly, MO. This full lifecycle role involves taking moving assemblies from concept through validation and manufacturing release, using first-principles physics to solve complex, safety-critical challenges.

We require 5+ years of design experience, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and strong CAD and DFA/DFM skills. Work onsite in Moberly with cross-functional collaboration and industry-leading development

Qualifications

5+ years of dedicated design experience focusing on mechanical mechanisms, moving assemblies, linkages, or motion-control systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related discipline.
Ability to apply first-principles mechanical physics and mathematical analysis.

Responsibilities

New Product Development (50%): Concept, analyze, and design mechanical mechanisms, linkages, and operator controls for vehicles and industrial equipment.
Sustaining Engineering (40%): Optimize existing mechanism assemblies and update designs to meet standards.
Manufacturing & Assembly Support (10%): Troubleshoot assembly issues and maintain design intent on the shop floor.
Lead DFMEA and DVP&R initiatives to ensure safety-critical parts meet performance criteria.
Modeling and technical analysis: perform kinematic, force, and stress calculations and CAD modeling, applying GD&T and tolerance analysis.
