Job summary

Foth in Green Bay, WI is offering a Summer 2027 Process Engineering Intern position to support process and utility engineering projects for industrial clients. You will work alongside experienced engineers, perform data gathering, assist with drawings, and develop design documents under supervision.

Applicants are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (ABET-accredited) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Prior coursework in P&IDs and standard process calculations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field data gathering under the direction of a process engineer.
• Create and maintain clear design documents (P&IDs, equipment plans, piping drawings).
• Assist with CAD in drawings for process and utility projects.
• Understand, interpret, and develop design and construction specifications.
• Perform standard process system calculations (pump sizing, material and energy balance, fluid flow analysis).
• Develop equipment lists.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (ABET‑accredited)

At Foth, our internship program provides hands‑on experience that allows you to apply what you've learned in the classroom while developing valuable technical and professional skills. As a Process Engineering Intern in our Green Bay, WI office, you'll support process and utility engineering projects for a variety of industrial clients, working alongside experienced engineers. During this Summer 2027 internship, you'll build your understanding of engineering analysis, design, and project execution.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with field data gathering under the direction of a process engineer
• Create and maintain clear and accurate design documents (P&IDs, equipment plans, piping drawings, photo drawings)
• Assist with CADD in the preparation of drawings for process and utility system related projects
• Understand, interpret, and develop design and construction specifications
• Perform standard process system calculations (pump sizing, material and energy balance, fluid flow analysis, valve and instrument sizing)
• Develop equipment lists

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• GPA of 3.0 or greater

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with and/or coursework involving P&IDs
• Previous experience with and/or coursework involving standard process calculations (pump sizing, valve and instrument sizing, fluid flow analysis)
• Previous experience with equipment specification and procurement support (obtaining quotes, vendor contact/follow-up)
