Mechanical Process Engineer - Sanitary Piping

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Process Engineer to join our vibrant team at a well-established manufacturer serving biotechnology, food, and pharmaceutical sectors. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about overseeing projects from concept to completion, ensuring all products meet the strict industry standards and customer requirements. Salary: Up to $90,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple custom engineering projects, ensuring they remain on time and within budget.
  • Schedule and allocate resources effectively across various projects.
  • Lead the creation, engineering design, fabrication, and testing phases of custom engineering projects.
  • Review and approve detailed, custom 3D SolidWorks engineering drawings.
  • Maintain continuous collaboration with various vendors and customers to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Facilitate teamwork across engineering and production teams to drive project completion.
  • Assist and support project engineers in synchronizing efforts across different departments.
  • Create and update the Production Ready Library and Engineering Change Notices as required.
  • Develop comprehensive bills of materials for all projects.
  • Coordinate system integrations and oversee field installations to ensure compliance and functionality.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience as a Project Engineer.
  • At least two years of experience in biotechnology, food, or pharmaceutical industries dealing specifically with sanitary piping.
  • A four-year degree in engineering is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project timelines effectively.
  • A strong track record of reliability and commitment as demonstrated by previous work history.
  • Must be a United States citizen or hold a valid Green Card.
  • Residence within 45 minutes of the Whitewater, Wisconsin area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Previous leadership experience or roles showing increasing responsibility in project management.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills to handle scheduling and budgeting of complex projects.
  • Demonstrable skill in the fabrication and testing of highly specialized equipment.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with all stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
  • Technical proficiency in reading and creating detailed engineering documentation.
  • Capability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high productivity and efficiency.
