Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) invites summer interns to join our Nashville office as a Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer Intern for Summer 2027.

You’ll contribute to energy-efficient building solutions and gain hands-on experience on complex projects that advance healthcare, science and technology environments. You’ll learn alongside seasoned professionals, receive mentorship, and engage in design reviews, analyses, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program.
• Completed at least 3 years of coursework or has junior standing.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Leadership in student organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing energy-efficient building solutions under supervision.
• Support mechanical/plumbing system analyses for projects.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and learn from engineers.
• Prepare technical drawings and documentation.
