Road & Rail Services is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily operations at our Greensburg, IN facility. This hands-on role requires managing teams, upholding safety standards, solving production challenges, and keeping operations running smoothly.

The successful candidate will work across manufacturing, logistics, and rail-related environments, supervising staff, coordinating workloads, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining OSHA/compliance standards.

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

• Maintain a strong safety culture by enforcing company policies and customer requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections, safety audits, and operational assessments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FRA, DOT, and industry regulations.
• Investigate safety concerns, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Develop solutions to reduce operational delays and improve workflow.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation, reports, and performance records.
• Communicate regularly with leadership regarding site performance, staffing, and operational needs.

Road & Rail Services is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily operations at our Greensburg, Indiana facility. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can manage employees, maintain high safety standards, solve operational challenges, and keep production running efficiently.

This position requires more than supervising from an office. Our ideal candidate is comfortable being involved in daily operations, making decisions, holding employees accountable, and working directly with their team to achieve results.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Operations Management

Direct daily site activities to meet customer expectations, production goals, and quality standards.

Coordinate staffing, workloads, and operational priorities to maximize efficiency.

Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.

Monitor productivity, service quality, and overall site performance.

Ensure employees follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Employee Leadership & Development

Supervise, coach, and develop employees to build a productive, accountable workforce.

Participate in hiring, training, disciplinary decisions, and employee evaluations.

Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.

Safety & Compliance

Maintain a strong safety culture by enforcing company policies and customer requirements.

Conduct routine inspections, safety audits, and operational assessments.

Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, FRA, DOT, and industry regulations.

Investigate safety concerns, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.

Ensure employees receive appropriate training and follow safe work practices.

Continuous Improvement

Maintain accurate operational documentation, reports, and performance records.

Communicate regularly with company leadership regarding site performance, staffing, and operational needs.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

Experience leading employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
