The Role
At ENG, the Mechanical / MEP VDC Coordinator position involves a wide range of responsibilities that may vary depending on the project scope, client, Business Unit, and trade. This role is ideal for professionals who bring deep technical knowledge, field awareness, and coordination experience within MEP systems.
General Goals, Challenges, and Scope of the Mechanical / MEP VDC Coordinator Role
The Mechanical / MEP VDC Coordinator plays a key role in leading and managing the coordination of mechanical systems—or a broader MEP scope—in BIM projects. This includes overseeing modeling activities, managing team workflows, maintaining timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet technical standards and constructibility requirements.
The coordinator is the point of contact for all MEP-related coordination efforts, responsible for driving progress, maintaining alignment across disciplines, and ensuring consistency with client expectations.
While this is a leadership role, the Mechanical / MEP VDC Coordinator is expected to remain hands-on with modeling tools, contributing directly when needed and staying up to date with technology and workflows.
Key Responsibilities

All decisions are made in alignment with PMs, discipline leads, and clients through structured feedback and collaboration.
Mandatory Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering degree, MEP-focused technical training, or relevant field experience
5+ years of experience with Revit & Navisworks on MEP projects (Mechanical or multi-discipline)
