Job summary

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is seeking an Engineer to join our team in New Jersey. You will work in a collaborative environment supporting the development, prototyping, manufacturing and testing of small caliber munitions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance. Proficiency with Creo CAD and GD&T is essential. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
• US citizen with ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• Experience with prototyping, testing and manufacturing of small caliber munitions.
• Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for the development and manufacturing of Small Caliber Munitions.
• Support all aspects of design, prototype, testing and/or manufacturing.
• Prepare designs using 3D CAD (Creo) modeling software.
• Document designs using the Army’s design standards and GD&T.
• Write test plans and work closely with testing groups.
• Develop and present briefings to the team and management.
• Work with manufacturing teams to develop functional prototypes and production processes.
• Support mature designs currently in production.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
