This position is based within the Engineering department and reports to senior leadership. You will lead a team of mechanical engineers, oversee new product development initiatives, and drive engineering best practices while supporting cross‑functional business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical design engineers and technicians.
• Drive engineering excellence through best practices, standardisation, and process improvement.
• Oversee new product development projects from concept, design, and prototyping through launch and post‑launch support.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, suppliers, and customers to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
• Support engineering changes, design updates, production troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 20+ years of engineering experience with 5-10+ years of engineering leadership or management experience.
• Strong background in machine design, mechanical systems, tolerancing, and GD&T.
• Experience with power transmission systems including drives, gearboxes, pulleys, belts, motors, and related mechanical components.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks (preferred), AutoCAD, and ERP/PDM/PLM systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering fundamentals, and Lean problem‑solving methodologies.
• Experience within warehouse automation, conveyor systems, material handling, industrial automation, OEM machinery, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 15‑25% as required.
