Job summary

Qcells USA Corp. in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the Utilities Team. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair plant utility and water treatment mechanical systems, ensuring reliable operation of PCW, CHW, HVAC, CDA, cooling towers, and related equipment.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with ability to perform PMs, troubleshooting, and repairs on utilities and water treatment systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, I&C diagrams, blueprints, and piping layouts.
• Experience with HMI systems and understanding alarms and controls.
• Basic computer skills with MS Windows and Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical preventive maintenance tasks on Utility and Water Treatment equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
• Conduct inspections and checks for PCW, CHW, CDA, HVAC, cooling towers, and other mechanical utilities.
• Respond to alarms and malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, piping, gauges, motors, and related components.
• Assist with monitoring tasks, HMI operation, and equipment performance checks as needed.
• Maintain logs, PM records, and system status updates.
• Support safety procedures and environmental requirements in daily tasks.
• Read blueprints and schematics to identify improvements for reliability.
