Job summary

FII is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Houston, TX to install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, ensuring reliability and safety. You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, and document inspections while collaborating with maintenance and production teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, plus use of PLCs, thermal imaging, and precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience; degree not required.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints, schematics and OEM specs.
• Commitment to safety, quality and documentation of inspections.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance including lubrication, calibration and testing.
• Use PLCs, thermal imaging and circuit testers to identify issues and document results.
• Disassemble and rebuild machinery including gearboxes, pumps and motors.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, safety permits and inspection logs.
• Support root cause analysis initiatives and recommend process improvements.
