Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of hands-on maintenance or equipment repair experience.
  • Vocational or technical training in maintenance, industrial technology, or related field preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience required.
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training required.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures; take corrective actions to restore functionality.
  • Identify root causes of equipment issues by observing machines in operation, listening for irregularities, and using diagnostic instruments.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of mechanical systems through preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyor systems, and machinery.
  • Dismantle equipment to access defective components; repair, reassemble, and adjust machinery.
  • Conduct daily maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
  • Minimize downtime by training production personnel on routine preventive maintenance practices.
  • Fabricate or recommend replacement parts for repairs.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment; adhere to all safety policies and protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Consistently wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety-toed shoes.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician

A local company based in Pensacola, Florida, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal operation, uptime, and safety. The technician will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, conduct inspections, and support preventative maintenance programs to maintain productivity and safety standards.

  • Experience operating mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP), welding (SMAW & MIG), and with engine lathes and milling machines is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay Rate: $22/hour
  • Mon - Thurs 6:30am - 5pm
