Air Liquide Geismar site is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the industrial utilities plant. You will perform mechanical maintenance on pump, valve, exchanger, and related equipment, document measurements in CMMS, and ensure compliance with safety and reliability standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 6+ years in plant maintenance, experience with pipefitting or millwright work, and proficiency with CMMS and heavy equipment.

• Skilled with pumps and compressors; knowledge of different types and sizes.
• Able to operate heavy equipment (Forklift, JLG) and use precision tools.
• Safe work practices, energy isolation (LO/TO) procedures and hazard awareness.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in non-climate-controlled spaces.
• Flexibility for callouts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain steam, water and chemical process equipment for an industrial utilities plant.
• Perform mechanical tasks including repair/overhaul of pumps and replacing seals and gaskets.
• Conduct equipment alignment and document measurements in CMMS.
• Prepare detailed work plans and coordinate with supervision to execute planned jobs.
• Identify corrective maintenance and submit work requests in CMMS.
• Support planning and scheduling of maintenance activities and PM programs.
• Record equipment data; keep manuals and logs up to date.
• Assist other maintenance crafts as needed and participate in continuous reliability improvement.
