Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a maintenance technician to support planning of maintenance schedules and execute maintenance tasks on site in Fort Mill, SC. You will analyze issues, complete repairs, and prepare machines for operation through ramp up and start procedures.

The role requires navigating electrical systems, reading blueprints, and using power tools, with emphasis on accuracy, safety and clear English communication. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with extensive field experience.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and identify defects.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and operate complex machinery.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Experience with power tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planning of maintenance schedules and perform maintenance assignments.

• Maintain and document processes and equipment documentation.

Job description

• Contribute to planning of maintenance schedules and execute respective maintenance assignments.
• Analyze technical issues, complete repairs and work orders with reference to electrical systems.
• Execute ramp up, setup and start procedures in order to prepare machines and equipment for operations.
• Contribute to installation projects on site, and support accountable Industrial Engineers.
• Support maintenance of technical documentations for processes and equipment.
• Support compliance of technical documentations for processes and equipment.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent combined with extensive work experience in this field
• Ability to use instruments for measuring and to identify defects
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, understand instructions and write clear communications in English
• Ability to understand and operate complex machinery
• Good visual acuity
• Ability to lift heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
• Preferred College or University degree in a technical discipline
• Multiple years of experience operating and handling complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
