Job summary

Riot Platforms is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Team Lead in Rockdale, TX to direct the pump team and oversee the safe, efficient operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pumping systems and equipment. The role requires hands-on pump system experience, team leadership, and strong technical skills.

The position focuses on planning maintenance projects, managing resources, and ensuring safety compliance and productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pump maintenance and repair.
• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
• HVAC experience preferred (commercial or residential).
• Experience with various pumps and related systems in an industrial setting.
• Deep understanding of centrifugal, submersible, and positive displacement pumps.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software related to pump systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.

About this role

The Mechanical Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for leading the pump team and overseeing the safe, efficient operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pumping systems and related equipment. This role will provide day-to-day direction to the team, ensure productivity and quality standards are met, and help plan and execute maintenance projects while managing resources, timelines, and priorities. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with industrial pump systems, strong troubleshooting and technical skills, and the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team. Experience with HVAC systems is preferred, along with knowledge of safety regulations and practices. This position is based in Rockdale, TX, with working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage projects to meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and manage performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, management, and clients.
• Relevant certifications in pump maintenance and repair, such as Pump Systems Matter (PSM) certification, are preferred.
• Safety certifications, such as OSHA, are preferred.

Physicalrequirementsand work environment

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (50 pounds)
• Ability to workonsitein amining ordata center environment (heat, noise, etc.)
• Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures
