Job summary

LotusWorks is seeking an Intern in Sunnyvale to gain hands-on experience with our mechanical maintenance team, supporting HVAC, pumps, compressors, and process utilities.

You will learn to perform PM/CM, read P&IDs and drawings, document activities in CMMS, and observe safety practices under supervision. This role offers exposure to critical facility operations in a fast-paced environment at a leading engineering services provider. Strong teamwork and clear communication are valued.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, facilities operations, or utilities systems preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, chilled water, compressed air, pumps, valves, and process utility systems.
• Safety procedures knowledge including LOTO and confined space (training provided).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment schematics.

Responsibilities

• Support the Mechanical Maintenance and Operations team on facility systems under supervision.
• Perform PM/CM activities on mechanical equipment following job plans and safety procedures.
• Assist in rounds, inspections, and documentation of readings and maintenance notes in CMMS.
