Lhoist North America in Crab Orchard, TN is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Team Member to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment, and install new equipment. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation and collaboration with outside contractors.

Strong electrical, welding, and mechanical skills, plus shift work including long days, are required. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, apprenticeship or 3–5 years industrial maintenance experience,

Qualifications

Must be capable of performing the essential job duties required in this position. Will be working at times in office environment but mainly in a mining environment. The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Mineral Particles. The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing, and sitting. Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed. Ability to wear all required safety gear including but not limited to: fall protection harness, gloves, glasses, hard hat, steel toed boots, welding helmet, etc.**REQUIRED EDUCATION:** High School Diploma, GED Equivalent, or demonstrated skills or ability and/or formal technical training through apprenticeship or technical school. **PREFFERED EDUCATION:** Associates Degree in Mechanical Technician, Engineering, Technical trade school and certifications or equivalent work experience in the field is desired. **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:** Completion of an apprenticeship program, technical program, or and/or 3-5 years’ experience in industrial background. The ability and willingness to work on any shift, and be on call, overtime, and weekends.
