Job summary

General Motors is hiring a Mechanical Journeyperson (Millwright) to support our advanced manufacturing operations. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment that keeps our automotive production lines running safely and efficiently.

You will perform preventive maintenance, align and rig machinery, interpret blueprints and follow rigorous safety and LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of a mechanical journeyperson certification or equivalent.
• Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and align/rig machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints and follow safety and LOTO procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new equipment on production lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and align/rig machinery to spec.
• Adhere to safety protocols and LOTO procedures.
