Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Mechanical Journeyperson Pipefitter to support our advanced manufacturing operations. You will install, repair and maintain industrial piping, valves, pumps and mechanical systems that keep GM’s automotive and EV production running safely and efficiently.

You’ll interpret blueprints and P&IDs, perform welding and fabrication, troubleshoot issues and complete preventive maintenance on-site with a strong focus on safety and collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Interpret blueprints and P&IDs to install and maintain piping systems.
• Weld and fabricate components for industrial piping assemblies.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
