Job summary

Dority & Manning, P.A. seeks an experienced IP Attorney to join our Mechanical Practice Group.

The ideal candidate will draft and prosecute patent applications, collaborate on global IP strategies with in-house teams, and prepare opinions of counsel while performing due diligence and landscape analyses. A mechanical/civil/aerospace engineering degree and US patent bar membership are required, with 2+ years in high-volume drafting/prosecution preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace with related tech experience.
• Member of the U.S. patent bar required.
• Minimum 2 years of high-volume patent drafting and prosecution, law firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Partner with Dority & Manning team and in-house teams to develop global IP strategies.
• Draft opinions of counsel.
• Conduct due diligence investigations and perform freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses.
