Job summary

Par Pacific is seeking a Mechanical Inspector for our Newcastle, Wyoming refinery. The role supports a comprehensive mechanical integrity program focusing on safe, reliable operation of fixed equipment across the refinery.

You will lead inspections, review NDE results, and develop repair recommendations for pressure vessels, piping, tanks and related assets. The ideal candidate has API-510 and ASME code knowledge, RBI methodology experience, and the ability to collaborate across Engineering,

Qualifications

• Must meet legal work status in the United States with ability to work permanently for any employer.
• API-510 inspection certification preferred; strong knowledge of ASME codes and related standards.
• Experience with refinery equipment inspection, RBI methodologies, and damage mechanism identification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inspection records for refinery equipment using IDMS platforms.
• Review NDE results for clarity and code compliance.
• Develop repair recommendations for pressure vessels, piping, relief devices, tanks, and other assets.
• Support turnaround planning and asset integrity programs.
• Lead and perform inspections and provide technical leadership.
