Job summary

SABIC is seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to ensure the reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance of fixed equipment within the Ultem Manufacturing units. You will develop, implement, and maintain the site’s Mechanical Integrity program in alignment with PSM requirements and company standards.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical) required.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably petrochemical.
  • Outstanding mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical equipment.
  • Certifications in API 510/570/653 and NACE CIP are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Ultem Mechanical Integrity program in alignment with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements and company standards.
  • Manage programs and projects to improve asset reliability of fixed asset systems of piping, tanks, vessels, silos, bins, heat exchangers, pressure relief devices and structures.
  • Lead or support root cause investigations for equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide engineering support for maintenance activities, turnarounds, and capital projects involving mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, repairs, and compliance records within asset management systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify reliability improvements, reduce downtime, and extend asset life.
  • Ensure compliance with API, ASME, NBIC and OSHA PSM requirements.
