Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) seeks an Engineering Consultant to support the Mechanical Integrity Department in Louisville. This is a full-time, 40-hour workweek role with potential overtime and a fast-track path to API certifications.

Local candidates or relocation to the Louisville area are preferred. Responsibilities include field inspections of industrial equipment, performing API/ASME/ STI calculations, and generating detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field required.
• API/CWI certifications to be obtained through on-the-job training after hire.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for field inspections and site work.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of industrial equipment under supervision of API inspection personnel (storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping).
• Generate calculations per API, ASME, STI, etc.
• Generate written reports using MS Word and MS Excel.
• Develop AutoCAD drawings or isometrics.
• Assist in managing projects ranging from $5,000–$100,000.
• Assist in managing client relationships.
