Job summary

TAIT seeks a Mechanical Integrator III to lead large-scale, high-risk mechanical integration projects across TAIT’s markets. You will guide the full project lifecycle from shop testing to on-site installation, troubleshooting, and final client delivery.

With 5+ years in mechanical/technical roles, you will mentor junior staff, contribute to estimates, and represent integration in client-facing contexts while advancing internal standards and documentation.

Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • 7–10+ years in a mechanical or technical role.
  • Proven experience leading integration scopes and mentoring others.
  • Strong understanding of TAIT products, processes, and integration standards.
  • Advanced fabrication and troubleshooting skills, including cutting, grinding, aligning, and welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with rigging, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in live entertainment environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 99–120 days/year, domestically and internationally.

The Mechanical Integrator III is a senior technical role responsible for leading large-scale or high-risk integration projects across TAIT’s markets. This role contributes throughout the full project lifecycle - from early coordination and shop testing to on-site installation, troubleshooting, and final client delivery.

Integrators at this level operate with minimal supervision, oversee multiple systems and disciplines, and act as technical leads for complex scopes. They are expected to mentor junior and mid-level team members, contribute to estimating and planning, and represent integration in client-facing and cross-functional settings.

Mechanical Integrator III combines deep mechanical expertise with leadership maturity. The role includes shaping integration standards, supporting documentation and process development, and building strong relationships across departments and with clients.

Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Lead mechanical integration on large-scale or high-risk projects

Minimum Qualifications

To perform the essential responsibilities, individuals must have the following level of education and experience, or equivalent combination. Additionally, the following certifications, knowledge, skills, or physical requirements are necessary for the position.

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • 7–10+ years in a mechanical or technical role
  • Proven experience leading integration scopes and mentoring others
  • Strong understanding of TAIT products, processes, and integration standards
  • Advanced fabrication and troubleshooting skills, including cutting, grinding, aligning, and welding
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Experience with rigging, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in live entertainment environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 99–120 days/year, both domestically and internationally depending on project requirements
  • Comfortable working in varied entertainment environments (e.g., shops, backstage, catwalks, cruise ships)
  • Right to work in the US or UK
  • Based in Lititz or Wakefield preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Effort

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to frequently walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, stoop, and kneel each day. Specific requirements are:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift or move 70 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to pull or push 140 lbs.
Work conditions of the role:
  • Work conditions may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work within or visit areas where required. This includes, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, safety toed shoes, and other PPE as required by the location
  • Ability to work in “entertainment conditions” including a wide variety of working places such as shops, backstage, catwalks at height, construction areas, theme parks, and cruise ships.
